Pyjamas, Teddy Bears and Cosy Smiles at Casa di Lusso

It didn't take much persuading to get everyone involved in Pyjama & Teddy Bear Day at Casa di Lusso Care Home. As soon as the idea was shared, residents and staff were keen to swap their usual outfits for something a little more comfortable and join in the fun.

Getting Comfortable for the Day

From the moment the day began, pyjamas were the order of the day. Residents and staff alike embraced the chance to get cosy, with soft, snuggly outfits and a relaxed atmosphere that set the tone for a gentle, happy day around the home.

Teddy bears made an appearance too, with plenty of much-loved companions joining the celebrations. Each one seemed to bring its own smile, and there was no shortage of comments about whose bear was the fluffiest, the oldest or the most well-travelled.

Hot Chocolate and Cosy Chats

No cosy day would be complete without a warm drink in hand, and hot chocolate was very much a highlight. Residents settled into comfortable seats around the home, sipping their drinks and enjoying the unhurried pace of the day.

There were plenty of cosy chats and lots of smiles as everyone joined in. Sitting together in pyjamas, with a hot chocolate and a teddy bear nearby, made for a wonderfully relaxed and sociable atmosphere where conversation flowed easily.

Memories Brought Back by Teddy Bears

One of the loveliest parts of the day was the way the teddy bears sparked memories. A soft toy can mean a great deal, and several residents were reminded of childhood companions, favourite toys and special gifts from years gone by. These moments gave everyone plenty to talk about throughout the day.

Simple, familiar objects like these can be a gentle way to start a conversation, and they often lead to stories that might not have been shared otherwise. It was a joy to listen and to see how much the day meant to everyone taking part.
